BR9 – Escape in Morbihan

THE perfect circuit to find yourself and escape from your daily life! Discover Brittany, far from its coasts and its crowd. You will pedal on the green lane along the Ille et Rance canal and its locks.

STANDARD: with accommodation in 2-star hotels

Day 1: Arrival in Sarzeau
Between the ocean and the Gulf of Morbihan, discover this small Breton village.

Day 2: Sarzeau – Arzon – 35 km
Head south to discover an impressive fortress, home of the great Dukes of Brittany: the castle of Suscinio. You will then ride back up by bike to Pointe Saint Jacques and the church of St Gildas de Rhuys. You will finish this superb stopover by Le Logeo and its fishing port before returning to your hotel in Arzon.

Day 3: Arzon – Auray – 40 km
The day begins with a boat trip from Port Navalo to Locmariaquer. Then the marina of La Trinité-sur-Mer before reaching Carnac, known for its masterful megalithic alignments! The stage ends at the old port city of Auray where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Auray – Vannes – 32 km
You will get off your bike for a ride in the small port of St Goustan and then once in the saddle, you will head back to the ports of Larmor Baden, Arradon or Le Bono. The stage ends in Vannes known for its ramparts of course, its port but also wooden houses!

Day 5: Vannes – Sarzeau – 34 km
The loop is closing! Direction the salt marshes of Saint-Armel, a prehistoric farm then a small passage through the Rhuys peninsula to Sarzeau. End of the circuit.
