Day 2 – Strasbourg – Obernai – 39 km
The day starts south of Strasbourg to reach the Bruche canal created by Vauban to facilitate the transport of materials needed to build the fortifications of the city. This will take you on the greenway along the old locks and will take you through the small Alsatian villages all in colour. Take the time to stop and enjoy a small glass of wine at the water’s edge! After this well-deserved break, head for the Véloroute to reach Molsheim, a village renowned for its wine estate and the birthplace of Bugatti! The stage ends in Obernai after pedalling along the mountainside and through the Alsatian vineyards.
Night and breakfast in a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Day 3 – Obernai – Selestat – 40 km
The day begins with the discovery of Gertwiller and its Gingerbread House and the flower-filled square of Barr. You will cycle through the vineyards and on the old Roman road to Blienschwiller, from there you can choose between two routes:

  • An itinerary that reflects the start of the day, through the countryside and vineyards, passing through charming little villages typical of Alsace.
  • A more sportive itinerary to discover the Vosges towards the villages of Saint-Pierre-Bois or Thanvillé. You will then take the old Salt Route to Sélestat.

Night and breakfast in a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Day 4 – Sélestat – Colmar – 37 km
It’s a day based on history that awaits you today. The stage will take you to Bergheim, a former fortified town whose fortifications are admirably well preserved. You will then pedal towards the treasures of Alsace, Ribeauvillé and its picturesque streets, Riquewihr and Hunawihr classified “Plus Beaux Villages de France”. You will reach the town of Colmar in a bucolic setting as you ride through the vineyards.
Night and breakfast in a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Day 5 – Colmar
Take the time to visit Colmar before leaving, you have a lot to discover!
