The hike

Day 1: Arrival in Epernay
The capital of Champagne! In the heart of the city, discover the Avenue de Champagne to meet the great Champagne houses!

Day 2: Epernay- Epernay- Baulne en Brie – 54 km
You will pass through the villages and vineyards typical of this region as Hautvillers known for having sheltered the monk Dom Pérignon. You can admire the Marne Valley from beautiful vantage points before reaching Baulne en Brie where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Baulne en Brie – Virtues – 42 km
Today you will discover the local heritage, abbeys, castles and charming villages will be on the program.

Day 4: Virtues – Épernay – 27 km
The day will be devoted to discovering the famous “Côte des Blancs” and its many vineyards. You will discover villages between forests and vineyards such as Cramant or Avize before joining Épernay. End of the hike in the afternoon (possibility of an extra night in Epernay – contact us)

Access to the site

By rail: Direct link between Paris Gare de l’Est, Charles de Gaulle airport and Champagne Ardenne TGV station located 5 km south of Reims Taxi link to the centre of Reims or Epernay.

By road: Epernay is a few kilometres from the A4 motorway (Eastern Motorway) or the A26 motorway.
On the way back, you will have to take the train to Reims Centre to reach Epernay (many connections)

Where to leave your car: Underground car park in the city centre

Difficulty of hiking

Level 2 – Hiking can present some difficulties: stages exceeding 20 kilometres or taking place on hilly or sometimes hilly terrain. A small physical preparation is necessary for those who have no activity during the year.
